Who are you, work?
What is your philosophy?
Why do you change the things that I enjoy into activities that I detest?
Why do you take the fun out of fun?
Who invented you?

You transform the most wonderful things into...

can you really blame me?

I like to eat bacon
I like to cook with bacon grease
it transforms bland veggies
into something tasty

I want to be a vegetarian
but I like the taste of bacon
am I a conscious consumer
the answer is yes and I'm not fakin
I wear adidas sambas
and drink folgers coffee
I occasionally shop at walmart
but can you really blame me?

checkered flag

not enough time to think
the sands in my hour glass
are running low
I almost figured it out
then something came up
and I had to go

a hiatus please
a momentary time freeze
pause, hold on
I just need a moment
everything could line up
if I put it in its place
but the checkered flag
is not until the end of the race

My day is already through

There is no better way to wake up
than drinking a cup of coffee
sunlight pouring in
the walls being painted green by Evalyn

it's the morning
the day may never start
it don't have to
if I don't want it to
I could lay here all day
and what could you say
if I want to live slower
i'll do it that way

nothing going on
i threw away my clock
i am rewriting
this song from the top
a vacation at home
one long overdue
you can come if you want
my day is already through
nothing more for me to do
my day is already through

I used to always run around
like there was something to be found
didn't know that the only way to catch it
was to stop and sit down

taking it easy
that's how i'll do it
ain't no reason
to rush through it

happiness will come

It's a beautiful day outside
the leaves are gleaming green in the sunlight
everything is slower than normal
while I sit here and play my guitar
this is a search for the best words
to fit these three chords
I've tried this many times before
but I've never had much luck
what's a songwriter supposed to do
when he's too busy paying his dues
that there is not enough time to write tunes
and do what he loves
he's stuck with songs like this
void of layers and metaphors
there's no strong melody
and I'm just playing the same three chords

writing checks and crunching numbers
building a financially secure future
not enough time to do what i want
is this how everyone lives
we all take a job that we don't like
to pay for things that we don't need
office work can be fun, i'm told that

happiness will come
the more we get done
through sticky pads and emails
happiness will come
happiness will come
i've got a big retirement fund

Life is not free young lad
you've gotta suck it up
put up with the 8 hr. work day
weekly meetings and being underpaid
there will be no compensation
no health insurance of parking spot
it's a failing economy and slow job market
this is not a world for artists

i can retire at age 65
after 40 years with the company
it's not a bad deal
i've got benefits and security

rosie banks

rosie banks works at the grocery
wakes up at 6am to eat before work
and then she's gone all day
got to earn her pay
to heat her home and buy clothes
for her baby
sixteen months old
the man on tv
said next week could get cold
this happened in october

rosie banks was let go from the grocery
times are tough in a failing economy
she's calling everyone she knows
find any work she can
she's scrubbing floors by hand
and washing clothes
as a maid for a rich man
he parts his hair to the left
and wears polyester pants
this happened in November

rosie banks likes to finger paint with her baby on saturdays
they sell their art at the fair on sundays
they sold two last week
three the week before
they're beginning to sell quickly
people want more
she might quit scrubbing floors
just yellow green and red
it's all they could afford
this happened in december

rosie banks and her kid are millionaires
they sell their pieces to rich folk across the world
no more working as a grocer
or as a rich man's maid
just playing art with her kid all day

random

it is what it is.

Work versus Play

Who will win?
which is stronger?
trained harder?
quicker to recover?
outlive the other?

tough to say,
but for now,
I'll go with play.
once one starts
it can be difficult to halt
or
take fault
or somersault
back roll
pick up the troll
put him down
eat the greens before the sweets

the two being punished
should be in different rooms
but the little one snuck in to his sister's room
and now they're getting along!
these kids, I tell you what.

they don't know when to quit
leave it be
throw a fit
calmy rightly
shortly quietly
with the intellect
for the sake of bringing people together

sniggle boggs

and this day calls for some time by one's self
warm roasted bean drink
reflection of the beaut.
leave it there mate.
it's worth repetition.
sniggle boggs.
that is a touchy subject
a difficult topic
a beautiful day
leave the sister wiggle in her own pen to play
she doesn't dance with the other pigeons
she doesn't eat the glop she's given
when she starts to behave we'll let her join us to play

and you can tell her mother that she shouldn't stay up so late at night
moisture preventing triumphant spirits
smooth Brazilian rhythms easing the cool
old stresses
new stresses
moving in sync with the second hand
like two pistons
pummeling air pockets to create energy
from bones

banana peel

i just saw a banana peel
falling through the cracks of an earthquake in kentucky
into an hour long car ride
to an office with michael moore
with a nerdy computer fixing man

brightening the day of a putrid odor
a loving putrid odor
i know,
he told me so

friends with a friend who gave the carebare stare for two weeks
until at king arthur's court she forced the two to meet
since then a brownie concoction so sweet
spagh

crickets have spikes on their rears
smack their landing place
though if they land on a banana peel
it is more of a splat

where my attention dwelleth

how much you know?
wanna know more?
i'll give you info
i pulled it out of a box that was rushing down a waterfall
iguazu

oops
i lost the box
i tend to lose things
can't even remember to wash my clothes or shower
or put napkins in bins for the children on thursdays

symbols plastered horizontally for yards
into the infinite left
until i've lost track of the numbers because
a slit of paper popped up that netted my attention
and now it floats, orbiting around the earth

i got lost in the interweb

I got lost in the interweb
I was looking for my shoes.
I thought I put them by my mailbox,
but I left them by my inbox.
the left part of my web browser

Last saturday night
I drank more than any man should
i woke up in my facebook
in an old profile picture
it felt weird and electric

I got lost in the interweb
when I tried to reach the end of it
I was on the front of every created page
tripping on them like waves
growin up sure ain't easy, paw.
I could chop wood jus fine with the small axe
but that big ole' axe I cain't hardly pick up.
I think I'ma put on a suit and try that for a while.
but if ya need, I can always come back n work on the farm a bit.

I thought that success was a llama

I'm paused before the rush affronts
chilly north winds stopped at my front door
my heater won't let them in
the bergs should be okay, I burn vegetable oil

but the people, that's a totally, whole now for real different story
anticipation and nerves don't phase them in the least
they say, "a word is a word, I gave mine and you follow it!"
and I try - though not always with success

our relationship has changed
he's not who I thought she was
form has either transfigured or mine eyes have been uncovered
as success is not a big, furry, hefty, llama like I thought it was.
I thought that success was a llama.

imagination stereotypes

now someone is galloping like goofy
jumped off of a diving board into a pool
splashed a high splash which lept out of the tv screen
got the 50's family's family room carpet wet and the mother gasped
got her vacuum
vacuumed the mess
father laughed
children went to bed
waiting for tomorrow's cartoons

but goofy didn't come on tomorrow.
It was a small spanglish speaking child.
university professors were not happy at all
because cartoons are full of stereotypes

I've run out of new days!

I've run out of new days!
I woke up and it's 6 years earlier
to the T
i lost my beard
my voice is higher
and I have to get ready to catch the school bus!

I've run out of new days!
now I'm 10 years in the future
but I knew this would happen
like I've lived it before
not experienced but known
in some brain travel way

I've run out of new days!
The sun is still yellow!
dear me dear my oh no
I thought that it would change colors
but it's the exact same as yesterday
ive run out of new days

new fruit salad

is there ever an opportune time to tell someone something they don't want to hear?
when the apples may turn brown or the lemon juice ran out?
new ingredient work trumps failed fruit salad
and living next to a grocery store makes things much easier.
even refreshing.

HEEREEE WE GOOO AAAGGGAAAAINNNNN!!!!!
YYYYYYYEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!!!
HERREEE WEE GOOOOO!!!

YYYYEEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

a pebble into orbit

time to mold some happy waves
space to lift some chins
beats to rhythmically swiftly jive
sliding joyously left and right

the sun lives to warm the sparrows
the upstroke remains to raise eyebrows
playing it hard and fast and slow
freezing the section stopping all but eyes

180 beat per minute
enough to make anyone smile
ride the bronze as long as you like
throwing and laughing as hard as you can
a pebble into orbit

my feat

i can run faster than a cheetah
I can climb quicker than a squirrel
I'm revolving 365 miles per hour
outpacing the spin of the world
so fast
but I can hardly feel it
so good
i'm gonna keep it
just a few more feet until
i finish my feat
and then i'll rest for a while

swimming along somewhere else to play

beauty,
goodness interconnected
shapes of all sounds and makes
proving comfort of the most tangible kind
affectionate kind
loving kind

flying through baked goods like muffins and scones
hearing jazz cats play off the charts tones
living in a world that needs no bleached bones
i found it just last week

i thought that it didn't exist
was told that trees were a thing of the past
or that they would be soon
and

that politics were the end all be all
and
that work was slave to politics
and
that places only existed as far as I've known
and

it is wonderfully magnificent to find out when i'm wrong
about black lines and white lines and limits of vegetables
delving diving and staying in
wading for as long as desire remains
then swimming along somewhere else to play

cranberry shpeech

there is juice is my speech today
I drank cranberry for breakfast
now it's leaking from my teeth
in moments least expected

calling in the horses
or when drinking juice of another flavor - when they mix it tastes funny

shpeech is shtarting to shound different
witsch craberries all over the plasche

the language i live in

a change every three minutes
quicker than the sharpest consonant
drawn out effects longer than the dullest vowel
that is the language I live in

my own and hers
but made by those guys
just a group of pronouns
because specifics are tough to remember

glorious, full, undiscovered beauty
amazing how well they did
with age I may know a few limitations
but that never stopped me before

that is the language i live in
green, gray, audible inflections
to reiterate, I'll type it again
this is the land i live in

i don't know why

right around the block
there is a carpet hanging in the air
and I don't know why

in front of the library
I saw a bike pedaling itself around a tree
but no one stopped to watch

during a college professor's lecture
three students turned their heads and cried
but I don't know why

music whooshes blim n beck

music whooshes blim n beck
runs past my handles up to my neck
flips off the edge of my hair
elevates my feet five feet in the air yes

bundles up energy packets
condenses smaller than a cubic centimeter
books it to the sides of my head
and slams me down on my ankles

scrubby, uncensored thinking motions
because the stones I see are blue gray
floofing around the squared walkway
music is in my way

trees are worth a thousand seeds

trees are worth a thousand seeds
honey made by a million bees
bark peeled off into my coffee
to make it a bit less bitter

I take my coffee dark and sweet
all natural ingredients
like cumin, bossa nova, chocolate leaves
and the sweet yellow goo
from honey suckle flowers

i sing to and for you song
the sake of your being still and alive

nuked food

hello g'day we meet again how thoughtful of you to stop by while i was mixing up some leftovers in a blender to make a special kind of pie that will last all week in my freezer

and only need a little bit of nukin' to make it edible.

anytime you want my nuked leftovers, just grab a ticket and get in line - it won't take any longer than about 7 minutes to get your food.

muuuaaahhhhaaahhhaaa!!!!
which moments draw you into writing

qualitative lifestyle

must do your work well!
even if lots
bar can't be dropped
prop it up with some caffeine
but don't forget to take walks!

who doesn't like walks?
5 hour walks?
and chillin on a porch
on a couch
near a bush
in the sun
with the birds

and then there is the guitar
the pleasant, waiting mass of wood and nylon
that sits patiently
waiting
waiting
for the day when priorities include him in the mix

when will time be my friend
when my mind settles in
and allows itself to forget
of the meter which is used to measure
and apply the language that is used to interpret
more important in this case

some people live quantitative lives
others live qualitative lives

are you Bohemian?

Find out:

"Any good mixer of convivial habits considers he has a right to be called a Bohemian. But that is not a valid claim. There are two elements, at least, that are essential to Bohemianism. The first is devotion or addiction to one or more of the Seven Arts; the other is poverty. Other factors suggest themselves: for instance, I like to think of my Bohemians as young, as radical in their outlook on art and life; as unconventional, and, though this is debatable, as dwellers in a city large enough to have the somewhat cruel atmosphere of all great cities."

Prone to Ramble

Writing longhand forces one to expand his/her vocabulary to be able to write more condense ideas in fewer words. Writing too much is tiring. In this way it deters rambling. I am prone to ramble.

The Draft

I found the 'best places to work' in the government. Data was collected and used to rank agencies based on pay and benefits, family friends culture, work life/balanace, training and development, support for diversity and effective leadership just to name a few.
Environment and Natural Resource Division is number one on the list. The last on the list (of 216 agencies) is the Office of Postsecondary Education. Congratulations nature preservers! I'm sorry, teachers.

Tax division comes in at #9
Office of Water at #113
Bureau of Prisons and the Secret Service tie at #164.
Office of Timothy Hall at #22 and
the Office of Thrift Supervision (treasury) at #39

now go to USA jobs (dot com) and work for the government!
maybe, if you want to.

Listing

Lists increase productivity, stress, lead and inc usage, knowledge of one's ideas of meaning and hopefully the ability to carry through with goals.

Lists decrease the average number of years that trees live, stress, and the number of times one can use the excuse "I forgot."

To list or no? For beginners, a good place to start is to make an all-inclusive list of everything one wants to do, ever. Run across a continent, live with some nomadic indigenous folks for a while etc. Don't start with narrow goals because narrow lists produce narrow results.

narrow.
narrow.

or, as kids say, 'narrow-uhh,' with the additional vowel sound at the end of the word to increase dramatic effect.

Then if you feel content with a life list - break it down chronologically.
Years list, then month list, then week list - and for the ambitious a daily list. Maybe even an hours list or a minutes list. I could spend all day making lists! I love lists! Lists for everything!

A few list qualities:

1. have numbers.
2. ebb and flow like paper boats floating down a creek.
3. (if written on paper) can catch on fire, just like other kinds of paper.
4. can be your friend, or they can be your enemy. Diplomatic power is important when dealing with lists.
5. You can write them on mirrors with deoderant.
6. You can write them on yellow legal pads with wet tree bark.
7. Or Microsoft Word.
8. Lists annihiliate boredom.

The endless abyss of list possibilities is worth exploration.

A kid, a pig, and some cow feed

<- There I am in my office.

That is the photo that I used during my presidential campaign->

I took this photo at the Agricultural Research Center right outside of D.C. I do not understand why the liquid that the pig is basking in is neon green. It looks like a large puddle kiwi-apple flavored energy drink.

Cheers to logic!

cheers to logic and all it's successes!
cheers to tradition and how far it's brought us!
cheers to well-laid foundations!
cheers to our forefathers and their forefathers before that!

To progress, they looked back
but while you are climbing, don't look down
because you might see a twinkie on the ground and want to pick it up and eat it.

But leave that twinkie there, it's not good for you.

Instead, eat grapes. Grapes are good, especially when ripe and juicy. Slowly your cravings will change and then everything you read will seem new and exciting. When your diet is full of vitamins and nutrients, the future is more likely to feel new and exciting. No reason for it not to be. No reason to choose twinkies over grapes.

So, like the greats before me, I'll build a disciplined diet based on principles firmly rooted in the historical tradition that I ascribe to and sidestep those twinkies!

The King's Decree Ordering Men to Wear Breifs

Dearest citizens of my lands,

There are a few rumors that I must cofirm as it is my responsibility to be a transparent and explanitory leader. I must set an example of all that is right, and so I meditate on my image day and night, to ensure that I eminate upright vibes, especially in terms of the arts. In my castle: I only allow G-rated movies, all of the paintings are of Biblical figures, all songs sung are Gregorian chants, so why do I enjoy prancing around with no pants? I will tell you why, citizens of my lands. Consider my thinking:

This is the new age! We must leave the old ways behind and embrace the new truths. To be more specific they are new versions of old truths, like putting those gel soles in old battered shoes. Pants are unnecessary, we must understand! It is all part of the evolutionary plan!

A conservative king strutting about in his breifs? I don't want to be scandelous - I want my knees to feel free! I went from a robe to a suit, then from pants to capris, but now I have realized that I only need breifs. Kings of other nations are doing the same, though we still wear socks because we don't condone streaking.

Speaking of streaking I would never dare streak, that's as profane as growing hairs on your exposed face cheeks. Beards are old-fashioned, evil and dirty. Mustaches are worse; one of the seven deadly style sins.

Citizens of my land, a new decree has been made for the men. Obey these rules, they are the Mighty Fashion Trends:

1. Breifs and Socks are the only articles of clothing permitted for men to wear in public.
2. No beards.
3. No mustaches.

Fortune Cookies in my Desk Drawer

The notion ocassionally crosses my mind that I have misenterpreted or abused Emerson's proposal to spend a lot of time with one's own thoughts, to look inward for spiritual growth and intellectual guidance rather than filling one's mind with others' writings of their experiences. To have "one's own revelations about life and connection with the truth, rather than trying to emulate the thoughts of past great thinkers." Each individual connection with nature is each individual's most valuable resource for growth.

It is possible that I am constantly harping on the same ideas and never improving my perception of the truth for lack of direction. Just playing word games, unaware that I have no special connection with truth but am stuck in a rut. All the time I spend unraveling my own meanderings and allowing my mind to float around to whatever natural thought occurs I could be spending collecting knowledge from sources that have already withstood the test of time and proven themselves worthy. When is it wise to turn to my own ever changing intuition in regards to questions concerning the truth? Intuition is based on conviction, yet convictions change with time and age; so how reliable of sources are they to enlighten us about the nature of reality?

For this reason, I keep a large stash of fortune cookies in my desk drawer.

Happiness is Important

as sung by same busker with the stained khaki t-shirt and Orioles ballcap:

Happiness is important
an extremely valuable commodity
it was expensive last fiscal year
now you can get it for free!
you can find it anywhere

Happiness is important
has everyone forgotten?
Even if your stocks are down
maybe they'll go up tomorrow
it ain't worth the trouble

Happiness is important
set an example for your family
pushing around so many papers
your getting old and grumpy
don't forget to pay your happy bills

Busking Song 1

as sung by a young fella on a street corner wearing an oversized khaki t-shirt with green paint stains, a sweat stained Baltimore Orioles ballcap, black dress pants and old Adidas Sambas:

standing here singing
I have no fancy tricks
just one little voice
no back up instruments

wait up just a second
and sing a tune with me
we'll make it up as we go
now follow my lead

everyone in a hurry
to arrive on time
all these overworked feds
with their speed-walking legs

now that was just that
a fun little tune
let's sing it again later
if that's what you like to do

Singing on Lunch Break

Today i sang on a street corner in DC for thirty minutes, and one good hearted little girl threw a nickel in the hat that I set out. I think people enjoyed it; a few slowed their walk down to listen to what I was singing which means they didn't find it unbearably painful and akward.

I made it all up as I went. I mostly sang melodies, not too many words. Suprisingly, I felt relaxed and enjoyed myself. My main goal was to feel comfortable singing by myself in front of a pedestrian audience and maybe to put out some colorful vibes for the routine-bound fed workers.

some good practice in, time outside, new ideas for songs: why not sing on a street corner?

Dear Longview Texas

Tex mex is best in Texas
with beans and meat to make you fart
cheese to coat your stomach
and oo mama i love those enchiladas

Longview, although you don't have much new in you, you are a place and deserve respect. I do not wish to spend too much time with you at the moment, but there are places nearby that interest me. I wish you would either destroy or remake a lot of your abandoned shopping centers. I wish that you would put more thought into design. You have many large things. I like your trees and some of the Spanish architecture.

Retirement

emotionless writing
meant for everyone to read
with a filter built in the pencil
and underneath every key
to prevent origionality
that's not what anyone wants to read
and to do what you love
gotta have money.
you gotta have money.
you gotta have money.

to do what you love,
you have to have money.
spend just a few hours a day doing what you hate
to get that money then
do what you love.

Be thankful that you can do what you hate
it is important to appreciate this
because whining spoiled children
never understand the plights of those less fortunate
who can't afford to do what they hate
muchless what they love.

and be thankful that you can love
love isn't for everybody

lay to rest the idealic phrases just for a while
just a little while
while reality and contemporary society can set in
to guide my investments into the propper places
to guaruntee that I will be able to do what I love
after I turn 65
and retire
hopefully I will be able to retire someday.

Case Study: Typing vs. Handwriting

Five literary scholars assigned four hundred volunteers to engage in different writing activities for the purpose of comparing the functionality, advantages and disadvantages of Typing and Handwriting. Each volunteer was monitored separately using a video camera. Their heart rate, pulse, and breathing patterns were recorded. The volunteers were asked to write a small sample of poetry, a short story, an outline of a novel, a business letter, and an essay in a random order using either a 15 inch laptop, blue ink on notebook paper, black inc on paper recycled from various leaves, or chisel and a peice of bark.

After the writing samples were completed, each volunteer was asked a few questions orally in regards to their opinions on Typing and Handwriting. These are the most common sentiments expressed about the two mediums:

Typing:

- quicker
- easy to write stream of consciousness
- tangents happen naturally
- many bad writers use this method
- it’s hip
- you need $ to buy a computer or typewriter
- finger dexterity is important
- good for long, boring papers
- good for spontaneous, noisy poems
- looking at a screen can be exhausting

Handwriting:

- Time to think and edit as one writes
- Old
- Traditional
- Slow
- Used by Shakespeare
- Hand cramps can be an issue
- Not using electricity
- Do it outside
- Different kinds of paper is fun
- Different kinds of inc/lead is also fun
- Not looking at a screen

Results:

Poetry should always be typed on a typewriter, business letters should always be initially drafted using bark, short stories come out best in blue inc, novel outlines cannot be drafted in pencil, and essays should never be written.

what is the government

I currently work in a public affairs office at the national branch of a government agency; thus I get phone calls from people all over the United States every day asking questions about government policy. But not only do I get questions about government policy, I get personal stories about peoples’ lives and suggestions about how to run the government because it isn’t doing its job. To this last group of callers I represent the government and all its failures.

Many people call my office because they are going through tough times and need the assistance of my agency, others call because they found the phone number in an old book somewhere and it said “Washington D.C.” for office location. People call saying, “yes is this Washington D.C.? Yea, you need to tell your secretary, and your president about...” etc. I’m thinking to myself, “okay sir, I’ll let Barack know when we share our afternoon granola bar.”

But the president and I don’t share a granola bar in the afternoons. And I’m not a place, or a government. I am a person working for the government.

Are they the same thing? What in the world is the government? I’m a fed – I have a badge, I take a vanpool from a nearby suburb into the city for work every day, I handle government forms, obey government regulation; and yet the government is still a big mystery to me. What in the world is everybody doing around here?

Pushing around billions of dollars everyday. That’s a lot of dollars. As I sit on a bench on the national lawn and watch all kinds of people walk by in their business attire, I wonder what they do in their offices, who they meet with in conference rooms and how much money they are in charge of.

what's your deal

So,
I have just deleted two other blogs that wrote in on a mostly daily basis because I write too much junk. There comes a time in every man's life when...

he realizes that he writes/eats/wants to collect too much junk. This happens to women too.

And,
I like to begin sentences with conjunctions.

So,
after this blog consolidation, I must revamp my approach toward Songs From the Office - shall it be just a summer blog, as I will not be working in an office this fall? Which begs a bigger question about the nature of blogging: should I write one blog about whatever I want without placing topical limitations, or should I create and manage a few, each with its separate personality and purpose?

And,
Should I write in a stylistically consistent manner or allow myself to use words like Paul Cezanne used paint?

So,
I'm going to stop 1. beginning sentences with conjunctions 2. writing/posting rough, rough drafts and 3. defining my personal philosophy on blogging because, who cares about that?

For this first non-song-form blog entry (although, you are welcome to put this entry into a song if you so desire) I will voice a message to this Blog entity:

What is your deal, blog. What do you actually do.

passion vs. stability

passion vs. stability.

In which areas of life are the two incompatible?

There is a sale every Thursday

if you ain't got much time
then you ain't got much time
go to the store and get some more
before everyone else buys it
the best times are on the third shelf
right after you walk in the door
the good ones are expensive
but there is a sale every thursday

these times aren't so bad
there is plenty good to choose from
the market provides a lot of choices
pay attention to the packaging
avoid phrases like 'satisfaction guaranteed'
check out different brands equally
spot the diamond in the rough
and invest in a good product

if you ain't got much time
then you ain't got much time
go to the store and get some more
before everyone else buys it
the best times are on the third shelf
right after you walk in the door
the good ones are expensive
but there is a sale every thursday

Buy the best and if you run out of money
then run up your debt, I think it's okay
you'll have until the end of the month
to buy some more time
categorize your purchases
arrange them neatly around your home
if you don't know what you have
how will you know what you need to buy?

if you ain't got much time
then you ain't got much time
go to the store and get some more
before everyone else buys it
the best times are on the third shelf
right after you walk in the door
the good ones are expensive
but there is a sale every thursday

buy good time
i'm tellin you, it's worth it
don't buy it in bulk
those are too heavy to carry
buy the little packages
just enough to last a week
does no good to pile up old stuff
it goes out of style quickly

don't forget
the good stuff is on the third shelf
right after you walk in the door

stick it to the man

put together a breifing book
print 400 pages
they print in sets of 4 and 6
and every third it skips

make sure and take it out of the printer
before the next page begins
or you'll be under a pile of papers
and there is no time for reprints

printing faxing file attachments
telephone calls and sticky notes
i'm drowning in office supplies and duties
under these florescent lights
the photocopier doesn't like me
the printer disobeys my commands
i accidently hang up on customers
all I want to do is stick it to the man

my pay check is my inspiration
money is the driver
kind of pathetic how i sell my time
to a bunch of office supplies

printing faxing file attachments
telephone calls and sticky notes
i'm drowning in office supplies and duties
under these florescent lights
the photocopier doesn't like me
the printer disobeys my commands
i accidently hang up on customers
all I want to do is stick it to the man

i say, "yeah, i'm hip, i know"
then the money comes in day after day
just because I flip it to the side

that's the dew for me
i'll get my cousin

rodent games

he wants enough feed
to get him through the morning
but the royal family says
he should get his food from elsewhere

those kernals are for the birds
nuts are for your type
it was declared last teusday
in the king's third decree

forced to scavange for food
as there are many of his type
born into the wrong class
grew up in the wrong schools

sometimes in the late evening
when no one is watching
he scales the metal pole
and grabs a bit of food

some kings could care less
realizing there is plenty for all
some have no patience
and shoot bullets as a warning

what kind of king am I?
oh, I am not a king
i am just a middle man
somewhere inbetween

I have no land of my own
i have no feed to share
i do other things
and besides, I don't really care

yoda

gargantuan sizes

little red berries
in the hands of a girl

as she does a little twirl

quadruple x large
how much space those messages need
they're so heavy and rough
smooth and deep
they are bluer than they used to be
when just a wee lad
their form has evolved
as they've grown into their skin

this is the plan for good
go line by line by line
no matter how much effort
no matter how much time
follow the correct formula
and the correct answerse you will find
ask our dear friend yoda
he will speak to you in kind

hear me roar

greetings day!
I know it's four in the afternoon
but it feels like seven in the morning
maybe it's because Ive sat at the same desk all day

either way i feel new
glad to be breathing
kicking and thinking
bout to go sing some tunes

love to sing tunes
songs, cantadas whatver
as long as they have a melody
I'll give it a shot
by shot I mean try
and try I mean attempt
success is irrelevant
hear me roar

time is also irrelevant
that's what the clock told me
it was an indirect statement
through a lot of saying nothing
just tick tick ticking
reminding me the day is new
it is new until tomorrow
then it's yesterday's news

love to sing tunes
songs, cantadas whatver
as long as they have a melody
I'll give it a shot
by shot I mean try
and try I mean attempt
success is irrelevant
hear me roar

that's my song

mi,
mimimimi
that's my opera song.

la,
lalalala
that's some soulfedge song

tra,
tratratratra
that's the number three in another language

farm,
farmfarmfarmfarm
that's my summer internship

none,
nonenonenonenone
that's how much time i put into writing this song

soon,
soonsoonsoonsoon
my music career will take off thanks to this amazing song

day

one day I will edit my writings.
but that day is not today.

one day I will grow up.
that day is tomorrow.

one day I will eat chili-flavored chocolate.
that day is today.

one day I will remember how to live in the present.
that day was yesterday.

beginning, middle, and end

beautiful beginning
to something that I don't understand
like a freshly cut fruit
or a sweet potato just pulled out of the ground
natural, nutricious
delectable.

from the outer edges of the corner plots
come the greatest fruits of our time
chalked full of vitamins
that could sustain a pack of ten thousand people
or a herd of wildabeast
or two parrots

a bit tired in the middle
not as unknown as the initial stages
a calmer understanding of what it means to be ripe
still has a place in an advancing society
the ground needs a bit of tilling
and it time it will yeild

plopping out of stems and
bushes popping out and
roots emerging from the dirt
and formation of different shapes, sizes, volumes
variation to suit the needs of any person

the end.
only two steps past the middle,
which was just two steps beyond the beginning.

garbldy gook

garbldy gook.
i like these words.
garbldy gook.
I liked them even better the second time.
let's go for three.
garbldy gook.
Hmm. I think the second time was more fun than the first and third.

But there's no harm in trying a third time!

plant hymns

sing the song of the saints
learn it from the plants
they are the recorders of history
with a sound method of documentation

holy green leaves
containing secrets of old
carved into their stems
legible through a microscope lens

each plant of every fifty
has songs notated on it
chants, hymns, and choruses
that are waiting to be sung

ancient chord progressions
are light and heavy at once
good for the head voice
then and still today

i am money

the day of independence
celebrate liberty
everyone go to work today
and have an office party

the best of days belong to me
if you want your paycheck
i'll give you what you want most
i am money

crispy

my forehead is burning
i spent too much time in the sun
the sun streamers
wrapped themselves around my top layer of skin
multiple times
and now my skin is pink
pink pink pink
as a tenderloin steak
pink pink pink
like bubalicious bubble gum.

my legs are aching
lower back a bit stiff
i was dragged behind a boat
slapped against the water
at a bent u angle
crazy, really.

i am content
with a crispy and aching body
as the hummingbird still flutters
so does my heart for life

the first of july

my first song in july.
hello first song.
are you related to the others?
or do you have a theme all your own.
will you set the sound for future songs?
or be discarded the next day.
there is no way to say
except tomorrow when I know

the song of the month
and the song of the day
which one is better?
which makes me feel the best way?
I like the best
to be the best and feel the best
best best best best song!
this is the best first of july song

it's the first of july
i have a computer in front of my face
my brain's a racin across my head
swishin back n forth
trying to think of a july song
and how it should be wrote
the song won't be ready
until the second of july

first of july
at twelve pm
I'm about to go grab grub
then back to the desk again
dominoes are lined up straight
yesterday I had some coworker cake
this song reminds me of july
because i wrote it then, or, now

it's the first of july
i have a computer in front of my face
my brain's a racin across my head
swishin back n forth
trying to think of a july song
and how it should be wrote
the song won't be ready
until the second of july

nature parties

Everyone likes to have fun
except things that don't know how to have fun
like if you were a tree or the sun
you might not be able to have fun
but what do i know about them
maybe grass parties harder that us
human parties are as fun as sludge
compared to nature parties

i want in
on a nature party
with dj leaves
and the rocktwig band
we can have a biological theme
like 'stream big'
the sun is the party papa
nature has the best parties

human parties are lame
with weird dancing and drinking
give me some mud to throw
and the fun is just beginning
my buddy mountain top
hogs all of the oxygen
but I get high from rolling in grass
and then I itch for hours

i want in
on a nature party
with dj leaves
and the rocktwig band
we can have a biological theme
like 'stream big'
the sun is the party papa
nature has the best parties

barnicle festival
do the delta dance
you ain't never partied with nature?
party with the rocks man!

i want in
on a nature party
with dj leaves
and the rocktwig band
we can have a biological theme
like 'stream big'
the sun is the party papa
nature has the best parties

I'll take some fresh air, please

The old room is still
but dust flies everywhere
the rectangular light rays
expose the particle paths
I sit on the old couch
and there is a mini sand storm
i'm covered in air soot
it's not refreshing

Take off the blinds
take out the window too
I needs some fresh air
don't like the stale stuff
breathing eighty year old oxygen
and outdated cans of hydrogen
is worse that sniffing sticky glue
I'll take some fresh air, please.

as soon as the window opens
a gust of wind blows in
all the dust blows out
it's like a free cleaning job
now I have a clean old room
that smells like earth and air
instead of dead skin cells
and rotten orange peels

Take off the blinds
take out the window too
I needs some fresh air
don't like the stale stuff
breathing eighty year old oxygen
and outdated cans of hydrogen
is worse that sniffing sticky glue
I'll take some fresh air, please.

the thirtyeth

it's da been
da little
da while da since i'de don
wrote in dis ting here
hurr
heayar
i write quick.
cuz the boss comes
and I ain't want him to see me writing on the computer in the
box right here cuz it's worse
than on the notebook that sits in my desk lap
if you know what i say
you know what I say?
I knewed it.
I kneeeewwwwwed it.
I always knewed it since the day I's born
Although I don't remember much that day but what I knew.
Hard to remember some things, know what i mean?
little silly finger lips.
little hair knuckle rips.
Fits play jips in kits and cats
and pink box rings encircle my square writings
publish the now save the post
label the site and let the whole world know
or just those who chime in every once in a while
that dogs can fly just like birds.

wind song

sing a wind song
it goes like this
whoosh whoosh
there it went

wasn't that fun
it's like whispy air
being sent
from here to there
hair hair

sing a wind song
vloom vloom vloom
that's angry wind
about to uproot a fence

sing a wind song
pshhhaaa psshhaha
that's some wind
blowing through an alley

wind wind wind songs
long long wind songs
all of them wind songs
yea

goat knowledge

Sometimes people think they know things
but sometimes they know other things
and not the original thing they thought they knew
but how were they supposed to know?
and for this grace exists
because you're not sure what they know
and they can't quite tell you
so it does no good to get upset
when someone isn't sure about what they
think they can know
and for this grace should last a long time
more than just a few times
but for years
and years
and years
and a lifetime
not to be handed out frivolously
but thoughtfully
and wholeheartedly
yep yep
that's what the goat says
the goat that always stands
on top of that pile of trash
next to the stop light
right on the other side of the 11th street bridge

sources

sometimes it is tough to see where things come from
the side
the back
the front, but just slightly above your line of vision.
especially with things that come from the inside.
Those are the toughest sources to find. I'm tellin you what.
Finding the source changes one's perspective on the product.
shoes made from a sweatshop = bad
organic vegetables = tasty

but what of those things whose source we are not sure about? should we like them
or not like them,
or try to form an actual opinion based on our tastes.
this can be more difficult than people think. that is wanting.
knowing what one wants can be

not many maybe are sure exactly about wants because
ain't nuff time thank bout it.

know what i mean?

so the sources of the strings that wind their chord around my kidneys
and liver
and stomach
and sometimes abdominals.
what is the source of that? and the ulcer - i would like to see the diagram of an ulcer. how she forms, who feeds her, growth rate, geneology - these would all help.
in determining
how to set her back a bit.
know what i mean?

am i naturally short of breath?
I gotta thank bout it a few times a day - slow breaths. that's why I enjoy singing.
controlled breathing.
like yoga
with the vocal chords.

pickle the world

I found a pickle in my room
it was sitting in my chair
It was a pickled apple
you can pickle anything these days
i don't like vinager
the smell stays for days in my hair
so i kept the apple away from my head
just incase the stench would spread

pickled apples
pickled grapes
pickled dinosours and pickled apes
pickled fruits and pickled computers
If you don't watch out I'm going to pickle you

I found a pickled tissue box in my car
a pickled shoe in my garage
Everything is green and shrivled
even my eyes are turning to pickles
now i like my big macs pickle free
because you never know
where them pickles came from
could be a pickled bore or pickled tree root

pickled apples
pickled grapes
pickled dinosours and pickled apes
pickled fruits and pickled computers
If you don't watch out I'm going to pickle you

I'm going to pickle all my food
including all my sweets
i will call it the pickle pyramid
because everything is pickled
get it

furry creature

There's a little furry creature
in the corner of my room
he's scurrying around
like a little brown blur
I hope he doesn't bite
maybe it's a possum
or maybe a racoon
or even cooler, a flying squirrel

I'm not calling pest control
I like the little rodent
I'm going to domesticate him
make him my house pet
feed him every morning
take afternoon walks
me and the furry creature
hanging out buddy buddy

before I put my glasses on
I thought it was a turd
but then I realized
that it was a furry creature
after I put my glasses on
and could see the little bloke
that's how the story goes
you can ask my rodent friend

I'm not calling pest control
I like the little rodent
I'm going to domesticate him
make him my house pet
feed him every morning
take afternoon walks
me and the furry creature
hanging out buddy buddy

even if he's smelly
i don't care
i don't care
we'll be the best of friends
you will see
you will see
He's like my best friend
bff
bff
this was meant to be
the rodent and me
the rodent and me

I'm not calling pest control
I like the little rodent
I'm going to domesticate him
make him my house pet
feed him every morning
take afternoon walks
me and the furry creature
hanging out buddy buddy

singing stars
they look so far away
or maybe they're close
and really really small
like dust mites flying around

but they are stationary
so they may be dangling
from invisdible strings

we play the staring game
and i know i'm gonna win
even if i have to skip a meal
i'm not going to budge
they usually quit in the morning

and i go home a winner
but staring contest with the stars
has cut into my sleep time

stars can be intimidating
flashy like a gloc
still like the numbers in a clock
spastic like a hyena

voice changeover

it is time
for the phone to ring
it has been six minutes
since the last ring...
...
..
..

for what are we waiting?
something to say?
a game to play?
a reg to be signed?
I can wait.

sitting silently, actually laying facedown with his face on some plastic piece. crazy telephone. his cord sometimes floats in the air and i have to strap it to the desk because if I'm not careful the cord can knock important documents all over the place and put us behind schedule. Also the phone sometimes calls random people and tells them, using my voice (he has programed and can reproduce every vowel and consonent I say accurately) that I'm going to buy a coffee and would they like one. I can't buy everyone coffee! that's crazy! Crazy little phone.

i'm a space man

In five years
i'm going to be an astronaut
and fly in a space ship
around the world
and the moon
and saturn also
it's going to be a blast
around the galaxy

i can't wait to eat the package food
like steak and potatoes in a bag
and wear the heavy space man suit
to work on the outside of the craft
all the cool buttons that need pushing
talking to space station on earth
floating around like a bubble
i'm going to be a space man

tomorrow
i'll be in that space ship
preparing for takeoff
3..2..1..
all the levels adjusted
straps are in place
i'm wearing my gameface
lets take off

i can't wait to eat the package food
like steak and potatoes in a bag
and wear the heavy space man suit
to work on the outside of the craft
all the cool buttons that need pushing
talking to space station on earth
floating around like a bubble
i'm going to be a space man

save the planet from imminent destruction
stoping the big meteor
i'll make a great astronaut
that's what my teacher says

i can't wait to eat the package food
like steak and potatoes in a bag
and wear the heavy space man suit
to work on the outside of the craft
all the cool buttons that need pushing
talking to space station on earth
floating around like a bubble
i'm going to be a space man

yeah!

i'm tired
yeah
i didn't sleep much
yeah
i might fall asleep
yeah
while i'm standing
yeah
or while i'm walking
no!
or while i'm singing
say it ain't so!
ima' stop sing!
yeah!
no!
yeah!

cuantos ideas quieren estar descubierto?

Need a little somethin somethin to write on
but I left the notebook at home
it is gone for now
will be back later
out for lunch until 1:30
but when did it start lunch?
some people take long lunch breaks
too long in fact
so long that they are being inefficient workers
i tell you what
you tell me what?
what?
oh i get it.
you are of the long lunch sort aren't you!
it's okay-
I am too.
I was just saying that incase you cared
gotta set a good example!
gotta let um know you care!
there are many people who care
and caring is good
if there was no caring
there would be no sharing
then what wood would they burn in their stove i ask you?

One must stay warm during the winter
the warm cold dry lovely winter
i like the snow
the snow likes me
i like the way it sits on the leaves in the trees
and weights them down
then eventually falls
like a tumbling ruffle of powder
glittering in the air
like magic dust
like saw dust
from a table saw
that's cutting 2x4's that are 30 feet long
that's a lot of dust created there
i know you know but i don't care!
well i do care i take that back
one must care because one must must
we must do the must and the should should shouldn't
i'm doing the should must and the want also
the want and the must
are they even related?
which one trumphs
and lasts after the eyes are closed?
only a few things last that long
not songs
not words
not images
but something else
other people
the intangible
that is what lasts so long
working on the intangible
because if it's not tangible here then it must be somewhere else
if i can't see it here - can someone see it somewhere else?
I think so
I think there is a book
or maybe a video
some method of recording actions
done for the intangible
thread the clothing with this invisble string
that you can collect down by the river tree
it's sitting around the hollow trunk
it's free just go take some
this invisible thread
invisible thread
it serves a purpose so grand it is difficult to understand
difficult to understand how a thread nearly invisible
no human eye can see
no animal eye can see
no one and nothing i know can see
can be so important and monumental
and gigantic and epic and lasting
and timeless and and and and and and
and wrap it around softly
because too tightly can cause some damage
and we want reparations
to lax the citations
and give rest to the bibliography
that is already around a hundred pages
for a thousand page paper
assigned three weeks ago
by the smartest most intellectual person i know
with the biggest brain in a big ole' head
the fastest typing fingers i ever did see
the quickest wit and sharpest dresser
more beautiful than a bull to a heffer
well obtie dobtie doo
the cow said coo coo
like a little birdy loo
what a silly little vaca all twisted up adentro

solitude is the life for me

Sitting breathing looking
and doing some telephone booking
to find my long lost love
that I found two years ago
where is she now I do not know
but I hope she remembers me so
much that I can't hope for anything else
there is not enough room

room room i need more space
someone give me a slap in the face
if i don't stop now I'll feel disgraced
I'm consumed by a pretty face
what will that get me in the end
besides a housebill and a whiney kid
gotta keep my priorities
solitude is the life for me!

put down the book pick up the book
trade the yellow in for white
I need knowledge, friend, not memories
and I know you're kin, but let me be
If I'm surrounded by people all day long
I sometimes think my head will implode
because of the stimuli from outside
it's like too much water in the comode

room room i need more space
someone give me a slap in the face
if i don't stop now I'll feel disgraced
I'm consumed by a pretty face
what will that get me in the end
besides a housebill and a whiney kid
gotta keep my priorities
solitude is the life for me!

fresh air
that only i breathe
well me and maybe some trees
spacious, uncumbered, liberty
this is what it means to be free

room room i need more space
someone give me a slap in the face
if i don't stop now I'll feel disgraced
I'm consumed by a pretty face
what will that get me in the end
besides a housebill and a whiney kid
gotta keep my priorities
solitude is the life for me!

even if it rains

sniffer pap papple
my dog ate an apple
a gorrilla ate a logic
and the pro ate the sound
in the ground
from the pound
said my hound
round round
and round round
she goes
shes goes
we go
here we go
there they went
little flint
little spickle mint in the guitar far out tent
bent trickle nickle pinches in the gibberty gabberty sninches
said the adult poet
who wrote for the adults
about adult things
so that they could learn to be grown ups
cuz it's learned
that's what i heard
that's what i say
i stand by my hay
even if it rains.

a hummed tune

a blade of grass is growing
the winds have changed their course
people are doing headstands
what are they doing that for?

hmm hmm hmm hmm hmmmmm
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmmmmm
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmmmmm
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmmmmm

subatomic explosions
pressure and release
atoms are bunching together
forming a tree

hmm hmm hmm hmm hmmmmm
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmmmmm
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmmmmm
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmmmmm

circle triangle square
a curvy outside contour
steady construction
a solid base and form

hmm hmm hmm hmm hmmmmm
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmmmmm
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmmmmm
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmmmmm

rough around the edges
smooth in the middle
a shape I've never seen or felt
it won't freeze and it won't melt

working elf chips

baghe baghe baghe baghe
this means rhythm
is the language i hear being sung right now now
through the speakers of the box in front of me
sitting near my left ankle
which houses a million chords
cords
and microbiotic chips that run around frantically trying to explode
and make my screen meet my demands

i am demanding of my screens
let me tell you
i don't let them get away with anything
discipline my friends
keep them elves in line if you want productivity
shabam blam

now i need those keebler fellas to fetch me a cookie
because my stomach is speaking to me in a gutteral language
I usually don't hear much of.
so that is that.

real scrambleamble

shiboom er ang er ang er ang
i added an extra syllable this tame
for to see that i can do other thang
and see i did it we proud of me!
when i say we what i mean is he
who lives inside of me that's he
the writer who writes different all de time
and tries his best to do da reel rhyme
da kine yo can rememba

but to doze who knows dat it ain't like dat
dat de butta in de ayar ain't a really gooby splat
it's a thing in the game of the final inning
plopped by bankershmout of the grin team grinning
sending rockets
tru da ayar
to da moon
way ova dayer

i say dis wit conviction
dat you can do dat ting
dat when i eat dem cake
i scrape off awl de icing
awl of it
every last drop
till my peice of bread has nothin on top

i like it like that
simple n sweet
for to bake ma cake
in da oven in da kitchen

it's all about de bakin
take the spices n put um in
start wit de begetables
den put in dat chicken leg
wit suga n salt

i like suga n salt
n fat wit everytang
i can' get enough that stuff
i like it drippin out ma brain
till i'm like a dorito chip
covered in powdered sugar
fried in crisco
then served on top of butter

mmm mmm
maybe das why i'm outta shape
i ain't go no diet technitian
to tell me what to eat
so i eat dem doritos
wit a snicka for dessert
then 2nd desert is butter sugar
my own special recipe

but who cares about food not me
i cares about what important in life
like bein true to da kids n parents
and hopefully findin a wife

but i can' fin' no wife righ' now
cuz i always in dis closet
i could find a closet wife
on the internet somewhere

that might be kind of odd
since i'm not into the internet thing
i'm more about the face to face
real life baby that's me

I don't know how else to say it
but I don't want to live digitally
I want a 3d existence
not something on a screen

the most 3d existence i know
is the combination of sound and sight
to produce music is what's right
if this is the principle in my mind

and i follow these principles
day and night
i meditate on them
with all of my heart, soul, and might

in hopes that one day i might
ahieve higher heights
closer to the creating one
who created all creating rights

created creators to create creations
for days and weeks and centuries
then even more time than that
then even more than that
then more
then more
more
more
more

moer
lawn moer
lawn moer in my yard
lawn moer in my yard at home
lawn moer in my yard at home in stafford va

do you see where I'm going with this?
it is from where I came
all i do is draw circles all day
i don't end up anywhere important
i don't contribute new information
people in my village still hunt and gather
but it's okay because we like it

so let us hunt
let us gather
mostly gather as we're not all meat eaters
but for those who want, let them have
then the consequences of having
for those that have not,
let them not
and be happy that they have not

i'm sure that i have
and i'm sure that i have not
i'm at each end of the spectrum
i wrote the instructions
i created the handbook
the rulebook
the follow up book
the how to for dummies book
all those books
on both sides of the spectrum
all those books
on both sides of the spectrum

but i won't let it be mother mary oh no
because last time i walked through that door i stubbed my big toe
and now it hurts every time i move
there ain't nothin i can do
there ain't nothin i can do

except play with these words
in non-uniform fashion
it is kind of like singing
perhaps it will become a passion
i'de be okay with that
i try to follow those
because dynamism is dynamic
and i don't like static
because i look up to my elders
in positions better than i
who have lived longer than i
know way more than i
i and i
says jahpaul

this draft is getting long.
no one will ever read this
this should be in a diary somewhere
not a wasted internet url
but i am the gibberish spice
in my existential meaningless plights
endulging creativity
without a frame to work in
but i'm in a frame
and i can't get out
it's called a computer screen

my creativity is limited to the computer screen
i guess also my brain
can't be creative out of my brain
that would be difficult
cuz brain is roots
roots is stuff
stuff the shnuff bluff
and cuff the railing to hillary duff
say what?
what what?
be careful with those rhymes!
they can get you in trouble

if there is anything i can do
by golly i will do it
even if i don't like it
i can still try it
but if you tell me what to do
and i end up not liking it
will i have wished to do what i done before
before i tried it?

it is possible things could end up this way
that some people don't think other than what they say
a thoughtless mind and a thoughtful tounge
it didn't hurt everyone
in fact it was good for some

lingy

siggy siggy siggy
overindulgent big biggy
writing whatsoever he wanna
thinkin nobody gonna read it

well nobody want to read it
cuz you write a bunch a nuthin
can't expect nobody read it
if you blablle all de day

why you always start with them same syllables?
n dat same form of talk?
can' you try sompin differn
that makes mo sense?

no hen! no hen! no i can't in the little bin!
i can't rake rakes and i can't shake shakes
i make music song with my syllable makes
making the k sound out of my basset hound
that i bought from the dog pound
two weeks ago today

that's correct mr. limpit
your fish has gone and bit it
he swam too often
and didn't bite the gamb nib it
though i told him too
that crazy mr. limpit.
tying my stomach in knots
like the mean roger clotz
who took up too much of my memory
where there should have been trees
but can i learn humor from trees
or how to be mean
or just a bunch of sway swaing
and lean leaning falling.

lean leaning falling is what i learned
out on the farm in the second grade
when we took a feild trip all expenses paid
by the president of the united states
who back then was hip cool and in touch
now he is old, dated, chuch
said snoopdawg on the news last night
i didn't understand him and that was my plight
language is to be understood snoop
you can't go speaking globeldy gloop
and snoop knew what i meant but he willingly disobeyed
so i went to my church and for his linguistic future i prayed
