ring ring pick me up
a customer is calling
I'm doing my job, you do yours
why am i always ignored!

Everyone differs me
to the office phone next door
I want to hear the juicy stuff
what did I take this job for

I could have been a cell phone
or maybe a house line

But I'm the company workphone
without me nothing gets done
I ring and ring and ring
and blink my blinky lights
I've got so many lines
I can keep fifty people on hold
people yell at me, but I don't mind
I'm the company work phone

My cord is long and windy
so I can stretch into the next room
I sit between a computer
and a roladex of numbers
you wish you could be me!
so used and in the loop
I never have to move
and I'm more important than you!

I'm glad I'm not a cell phone
or a boring house line either
